Lynn Knight, CEcD is a Certified Economic Developer with multi-sector experience in 8 countries, 27 states and 4 U.S. territories. She previously served as EVP of the Institute for Sustainable Development and VP of Knowledge Management for the International Economic Development Council -- the largest and oldest organization for the
economic development profession, with responsibilities for research, publications, technical assistance, training development, disaster recovery and sustainability initiatives.
Lynn is a nationally recognized subject matter expert and thought leader in rural economies, tourism development and disaster recovery. She previously managed a national program that deployed hundreds of subject matter experts to disaster communities across the country. She has been an entrepreneur and a business executive of a global firm which operated in a dozen industries. She moved to the Washington DC region in 2009 to represent a Governor of a U.S. territory.
Lynn is also an highly accomplished writer as author or editor of more than 50 publications, her most recent published work includes, States of Resilience, a study of state-level resiliency initiatives, the Leadership in Times of Crisis Toolkit and The Changing Energy Landscape and its Impact on Economic Development in America.
Lynn has won numerous awards for entrepreneurship, executive management and community volunteerism.
