Michelle Coe is the President and Senior Creative Director of BlueSkyPhoenix LLC, a brand and marketing strategy and technology solutions firm. With more than 25 years of experience, she consults with public and private sector clients to create organizational growth and resiliency strategies, build strong brands, and craft effective, results-driven marketing strategies. Her experiences in the
business, government and nonprofit sectors give her an understanding of the people, processes and workflows that generate greater efficiencies. These insights enable her to offer a unique perspective, facilitating positive outcomes to a wide variety of challenges. With experience in business, brand & marketing strategy, design, project management, event coordination and instruction, Michelle easily relates and adapts to meet the individual needs of each of her clients.
BlueSkyPhoenix is currently contracted with the Be the Change Foundation as Program Director to rebrand the organization, redesign and expand the capabilities of the website, manage their successful in-person women’s entrepreneurship program, and to deploy a similar program within the online space.

Michelle also serves as Vice President of the ClassicPress Initiative, a nonprofit providing funding and oversight of the ClassicPress project, a community-led alternative to WordPress. She is a Founding and Management Committee member and is also the Design and Marketing Team Lead for the ClassicPress project. Her efforts were key in forming the organizational structure that currently governs the ClassicPress project, setting the tone of the internal and external messaging, and creating and fostering the ClassicPress Team culture, including establishing a conflict resolution process. As the organization matures, she continues oversight of both the ClassicPress project and the ClassicPress Initiative and collaborates with directors and team leads to maintain the integrity and progress of the project.
Passionate about entrepreneurship and the role economic development plays in the success of small business, Michelle serves as Vice Chair of the Fauquier Chamber, as well as Chair of the Fauquier Chamber Micro Enterprise Council, which she founded in 2018. She and her council organize the very successful Micro Enterprise Symposium held in October each year. Other milestones of note during her tenure as Chair include the development of the Fauquier County Small Business Resource Guide and active participation in leveraging collaboration opportunities between public and private sector organizations for the benefit of local and regional business. She speaks regionally on entrepreneurship, branding, marketing, and technology solutions for business.
BlueSkyPhoenix was selected as recipient of the 2016 Greater Warrenton Chamber of Commerce “Entrepreneur of the Year” award, and was a finalist for the 2018 Fauquier Chamber “Small Business of the Year” award. Michelle holds a certificate in Women’s Entrepreneurship from Cornell University.
